When a hotel re-opens for business after a period of uncertainty due to the pandemic, one can certainly be sure that its events team is enthusiastic and excited about organising weddings again. After all, with so many postponements of nuptials over the past 18 months or thereabouts, both soon-to-be-weds as well as venues will be raring to go when it comes to planning for and scheduling celebrations again.

From more personalised and intimate weddings to larger celebrations, albeit meeting SOP requirements set by the authorities, such events marking a milestone in life will be celebrated with much joy and happiness, and to a certain extent relief as well.

For starters :
- Do some research on the potential venues of a hotel and their current capacities based on the existing SOPs in place. Which are the ones that can fit the size of your guest list?
- Study the wedding packages that may have been revised and determine if customisation is necessary.
- Try to appoint wedding vendors who are familiar with the events team of the hotel, thereby making it easier for coordination purposes and adherence to the necessary regulations of the new norm.
