The unprecedented pandemic that upended the wedding industry for most of the past two years has certainly changed the way we look at weddings. Fortunately, weddings are back and celebrations are being planned fervently. And in the course of planning for their nuptials, soon-to-be-weds are indeed taking various approaches.

Some trends :
- Smaller, intimate and more personalised weddings have been popular, particularly amongst couples who would like to keep their invite list to a manageable size. ‘I actually love these smaller, intimate weddings’ is now a much common realisation.
- Big parties are also back as many a couple still prefer to host a lavish celebration where they can invite family, relatives, friends, business associates and the like. ‘We spent a while not being able to celebrate, and now that we can, we are going bigger and better than ever’ is a sentiment that we frequently hear from couples.
- With postponed celebrations now being scheduled plus the newly engaged initiating wedding plans, demand may be outstripping supply when it comes to securing a venue, particularly on weekends. Indeed, couples can now contemplate weekday celebrations where rates may be lower with greater availability of venues and vendors alike.

Wedding vendors too are coming up with creative ideas to help the happily engaged plan more personalised celebrations that focus on a meaningful experience not only for the couple but their guests as well. And when they work well with a hotel’s experienced and knowledgeable events team, then a memorable celebration is certainly one that is pretty much assured.
